Program
- Our tour starts with a visit to one of the most famous buildings in Spain and a symbol of Bilbao – the Guggenheim Museum of Modern Art, built by one of the main deconstructivist architects of our time, Frank Gehry. You will be amazed by the whimsical forms of this extraordinary architectural complex made of titanium and glass, which guards a huge floral sculpture 'Puppy'.
- As you stroll through the modern district of Bilbao, you will enjoy beautiful views of the Iberdrola Tower, the Deusto University, the Nervion River, and the 'La Salve' Bridge.
- From the Guggenheim Museum, we will walk to the original pedestrian bridge 'Zubizuri', built by the famous Spanish architect Calatrava. We will cross the Nervion River on this modern bridge with fantastic views and reach the baroque building of the City Hall, and from there, walk to the Old Quarter of Bilbao.
- The walk will continue through the Old Quarter, which locals call '7 Streets'. Located on the eastern bank of the Nervion River, the historical center of Bilbao bustles with life round the clock, with numerous taverns and bars enticing visitors with a wide selection of food and drinks.
- You will see the main attractions of the Old Town, such as the Cathedral of Santiago and the Church of San Anton, remnants of old fortress walls, stroll through narrow streets with a rich history, and immerse yourself in the atmosphere of true Bilbao.
