About this experience
You will climb to the southern (smallest) summit of Aragats - the highest mountain in Armenia. At an altitude of 3879 m, you will admire the breathtaking pristine nature, the crater of the mountain, and all its peaks. Breathe in the pure mountain air, enjoy the silence of the wild places, and feel the grandeur of the local expanses.
What to expect
In a comfortable car, we will drive to the foot of the mountain, where the high-altitude Lake Kari is located. From here, we will begin our hiking ascent slowly and with stops.
Along the way, you will see the Ararat Valley, mountain gorges, and, if the weather is clear, Mount Ararat and Mount Elbrus. You will pass by the stops of Yazidi shepherds, admire the mountain rivers, and take atmospheric photos amid untouched nature.
At the summit, you will be treated to a breathtaking view of the Aragats crater. We will have a break, have a snack, and spend time alone with nature. Even in summer, you can play in the snow and build a snowman here! After the rest, we will reach Lake Kari and head back to Gyumri.
