About this experience
We will spend a whole day in nature - and it will be a great day! Visit an alpaca farm in rural Chile, where you will pet and feed adorable alpacas. Head to one of the world's most famous boutique wineries. There you will taste Chile's pride: white and red wines from the Casablanca Valley. Learn why they are so good, and have lunch at a local restaurant.
What to expect
Alpaca Farm
You will meet cute and fluffy alpacas, feed them, and learn a lot about this unique animal that was domesticated 6000 years ago. We will also talk about the process of making clothes and yarn from alpaca wool, which is 7 times warmer than sheep's wool. Right at the farm, you can purchase warm clothing and accessories made of 100% alpaca wool: sweaters, hats, mittens, scarves, ponchos, blankets, shawls, and much more. It will be a wonderful gift brought home from Chile.
Winery in the Casablanca Valley
- You will enjoy a walk among vineyards and a group tour of the winery with a tasting of 4-5 premium wines made from grapes grown in the Casablanca Valley.
- You will observe the production technology and immerse yourself in the history of Chilean winemaking.
- You will learn about different grape varieties. Find out why today around 95% of the world's wine made from the Carmenere grape variety is from Chile. And why white wines from the Casablanca Valley are among the best in the world.
- During the tour, you will have lunch at a restaurant that is in the top 20 best restaurants in the world among wineries. Enjoy exquisite cuisine, fine wine, picturesque views, and bird singing.
Organizational Details
- The tour is conducted by a Toyota Corolla car. There is a child seat - please inform us in advance if needed.
- Important: book the tour at least 3 days before the desired date - this is necessary for booking the restaurant, visiting the alpaca farm, and winery.
- The order of visiting places may vary depending on the date.
- Included in the price: services of a Russian-speaking guide-driver, transfer from your hotel in Valparaiso or Vina del Mar, toll roads and parking fees, soft drinks and snacks.
