About this experience
Embark on an intense bus journey that combines Cairo and Alexandria. It's quite challenging: with early wake-ups and long transfers. But it's worth it! In just 2 days, you will explore two capitals of the country: ancient and modern. Visit their main attractions and gain a comprehensive understanding of ancient and modern Egypt.
What to expect
Day 1 – Cairo
You will visit the National Museum, where you will see a rich collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts. Among them: sarcophagi, pharaohs' mummies, jewelry, household items, and the 11 kg gold mask of Tutankhamun. Then head to the Giza pyramids: admire the world-famous Pyramid of Khufu and the Great Sphinx. Discover why and how they were built, how they managed to reach us in their original form, and the legends associated with them.
Day 2 – Alexandria
Alexandria is considered the 'second capital' of Egypt. You will visit its main attractions: the Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa, the Pompey's Pillar, the Citadel, the amphitheater, and the Qaitbay Fortress. You will also stroll along the city's main historical street, see a 14th-century mosque, and a giant ancient library. Uncover how the city grew and evolved, the events that took place in it throughout the centuries, and how it thrives today.
