About this experience
We have prepared an action-packed two-day program for you, covering all the interesting places in Cairo and nearby areas. On the first day, you will visit ancient Memphis and legendary pyramid complexes: Giza, Saqqara, and Dahshur. And on the second day, we will explore Cairo and visit its main attractions: historical museums, Coptic quarter, and Saladin's fortress.
What to Expect
Day 1
- Memphis. The capital of Ancient Egypt, where you will see the largest statue of a pharaoh in the world dedicated to Ramesses II.
- Saqqara Necropolis. You will explore underground tombs and the stepped stone pyramid of Djoser. You will decipher their history and architecture.
- Dahshur. Another necropolis of Egyptian pharaohs. You will admire its iconic feature - the 'Bent Pyramid' - and hear the legends associated with it.
- Giza Pyramids. You will see the famous pyramids: those of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure. And also the Great Sphinx guarding them.
Day 2
- Egyptian Museum. You will see mummies and sarcophagi, ceramics and the collection of treasures of Tutankhamun. For example, his famous golden mask.
- Saladin's Citadel. A 12th-century fortress that witnessed a series of significant events. You will learn about them during the tour.
- Coptic Cairo. We will walk through the Christian quarter, where you will find the Babylon Fortress, the Hanging Church, and the Greek Church of St. George.
- New Museum. This modern museum houses 22 mummies of pharaohs.
