About this experience
It can be said that wall paintings are the oldest element of interior or exterior. Graffiti has always reflected the moods of people (and authorities), but how does it happen in the modern metropolis of Bishkek? During the walk, you will see street art from an emotional and social perspective, discover its history, understand how it works with the subconscious of the audience, and learn more about life in Kyrgyzstan.
What to expect
Discover Bishkek and Kyrgyzstan through street art
In the 21st century, street paintings are created by masters both voluntarily and upon the request of government institutions. There are enough such works in Bishkek - and they are worth your attention! I will show you street art dedicated to various social themes, such as supporting doctors, women's rights, proper waste recycling. We will talk about how modern art plays a role in shaping, promoting, and even awakening consciousness at each object. In addition, you will learn about the youth, famous movies, and actors of Kyrgyzstan.
Our route: we will walk along the main avenue of Bishkek and the adjacent streets, so you will see the Ala-Too Square, Parliament, City Hall, flagpole, and the cinema built by the French in 1918. At the same time, I will tell you the main things about the history of the city and the country, which has experienced three coups.
