About this experience
During the tour, you will get acquainted with the main attractions of our city. We will walk through the squares and Oak Park, visit the art gallery, admire the monuments of pre-revolutionary and Soviet architecture. You will learn about the life of Bishkek during the periods of the Kokand Khanate, the Russian Empire, the USSR, and finally, Independent Kyrgyzstan.
What to Expect
Bishkek from ancient times to the present day
We will talk about the history of the place where the city of Bishkek is located today - people have always settled here. You will hear about the times when ancient settlements stood here, learn about the Kokand fortress, the Great Silk Road, as well as the pre-revolutionary and Soviet periods. Additionally, we will talk about our famous compatriots: Baitik Baatyr, who led uprisings against the Kokand conquerors, the legendary "Altai Queen" Kurmanzhan Datka, Kyrgyz "Pushkin" Aaly Tokombaev, Mikhail Frunze, and others.
The center of Bishkek inside out
We will start the tour at the "White House" - the Government building that has survived two revolutions. We will watch the changing of the guard, visit the National Historical Museum. We will stroll through Oak Park, examining the main historical buildings. Passing through Panfilov Park, we will reach the open-air gallery where you can admire the works of local craftsmen. The Zero kilometer will indicate the distance to the nearest neighbors. And the Old Square will lead to the Museum of Fine Arts named after G. Aitiev and the Opera and Ballet Theater. Finally, we will walk through Theater Park and exit near our TSUM.
