About this experience
You have visited Amsterdam, seen all the sights, maybe even visited the villages from the guidebooks. This is a necessary experience, but very touristy. Would you like to get to know the quiet, cozy Netherlands, where there are no tourists at all? Admire the nature and observe how the locals live? Then we are on the same page. I will show you little-known but picturesque places!
The tour is also available on foot if you are unable to ride a bike.
What to expect
Picturesque surroundings of Amsterdam
We embark on a mini-journey along the river with charming Dutch landscapes.
- We will visit a wonderful little shop near the farm, where you can try delicious cheese and have a glass of fresh milk or kefir
- We will reach a lovely village and take a walk. Here you will get acquainted with the typical Dutch life.
- We will make a stop at the cafe-shop Anna Haen surrounded by green fields and a very cozy atmosphere. If desired, you can have a snack here, observing the locals. And buy some mustard, as the cheese tastes great with it!
- We will visit the fortress of Weesp and a picturesque windmill (it is only open on Saturdays)
I will not only show you what tourists rarely see, but also share interesting facts from modern life and history.
The surroundings of Amsterdam are beautiful in every season, and we bike all year round. But we can also walk the same route on foot!
