About this experience
Bicycles have long been an integral part of the Dutch life. They ride them from an early age to a ripe old age. You will ride along beautiful canals and the Amstel River, peek into hidden courtyards, buy herring from one of the fish stands along the way, and discover the Dutch capital from the inside out!
What to expect
Amsterdam through the eyes of locals
The bike ride will start at the central Dam Square. After enjoying its ancient architecture, you will ride along the canals. You will explore the Western and Northern churches and learn about the role they played in the city's history. You will visit hidden courtyards rarely reached by tourists and ride to the Western Islands, where an atmosphere of calm and tranquility reigns.
Secret corners and engaging stories
Against the backdrop of 18th-century ships, I will tell you about Amsterdam's great maritime past. Additionally, I will show you one of the best viewpoints in the city near the NEMO Museum and an ancient windmill that now houses a wonderful brewery. You will also taste the famous Dutch herring and learn about local life: how the Dutch spend their free time, what are the distinctive features of their national character, and why they love bicycles more than cars.
