Prepare for a rich walk from the New Town of Edinburgh through the picturesque Royal Mile to the architectural gems of the Old Town - St. Giles Cathedral and Edinburgh Castle. We will explore the ancient city from all angles, visit the market Grassmarket Square and other equally iconic places of magical Edinburgh. Along the way, I will unveil the most captivating pages of the city's history, tell you about its daily life and ancient legends. If you wish, we can visit Edinburgh's ancient cemetery, which has become one of its main cultural-historical sites. This place holds many secrets, stories of cruelty and mercy, patriotism and treachery, errors and justice - the most interesting of which you will hear on the walk.

As we walk through the streets with impressive views of Edinburgh Castle, we will talk about the Stuarts - the dynasty of Scottish kings, their role in history and the establishment of the country. We will delve into the history of the Old Town, discuss the daily life of the dark Medieval times, and touch upon the destinies of Edinburgh residents who have entered history - sometimes for glorious deeds and achievements, and sometimes through irony of fate. And, of course, we will not ignore Sir Walter Scott - the globally renowned Scottish writer: you will learn and see how his literary talent has influenced the modern image of Edinburgh.
