About this experience
Join me for a stroll along the Royal Mile – a series of streets connecting Edinburgh Castle with the royal palace. We will explore the oldest part of the city and immerse ourselves in the atmosphere of medieval life in the Scottish capital. My goal is to show you the best historical sites on this famous route and take professional photographs.
What to Expect
City Stories and Its Inhabitants
I will share stories about the city and its most famous inhabitants. Part of the walk will be dedicated to Harry Potter and J.K. Rowling – you will learn how the book is linked to the city. Fans of the famous series "Outlander" will appreciate the courtyard where one of the scenes was filmed.
Famous Streets and Secret Alleys
We will walk the entire Royal Mile from Edinburgh Castle to the Holyrood Palace. Along the way, we will encounter: Castle Square, Ramsay House, Victoria Street, Grassmarket, Greyfriars Cemetery, George IV Bridge, The Elephant House cafe, St Giles' Cathedral, Knox House, Canongate. Special attention will be given to the courtyards of the old town, where you will see how people lived centuries ago. Usually, travelers pass by without noticing, but there is a lot of interesting history hidden there.
Professional Photography
I have been photographing for many years and know many beautiful places for shooting in the city. I will gladly take portrait shots in the most beautiful locations, so you can cherish special memories of this trip for a lifetime. You will receive 50-60 edited photos 7 days after the session.
Organizational Details
- I recommend wearing comfortable shoes as the city center is very hilly and there are stairs along the way
