About this experience
This tour combines the most significant historical sites of the city. You will visit Saqqara, which served as a necropolis for ancient Egyptian kings. Explore the Serapeum temple - an underground structure dedicated to the god Serapis. Citadel of Saladin, Mosque of Muhammad Ali, Military Museum are also included in our program.
What to Expect
Saqqara. Here lies the royal necropolis of the Old Kingdom, along with the Step Pyramid of Djoser - the oldest of all pyramids ever built by the Egyptian civilization.
Serapeum Temple. This place was discovered by the French Egyptologist Auguste Mariette in 1851. It includes underground galleries dedicated to the Hellenistic god Serapis.
Citadel of Saladin - a magnificent military fortress built in the Middle Ages. Considered one of the most important landmarks of Islamic Cairo.
Mosque of Muhammad Ali. We will go inside, study the architecture, and talk about the influence and fate of the man for whom it was built.
Cairo Military Museum. You will learn about the country's history, visit several halls - Egyptian military glory, weaponry, military customs, and more. Among the exhibits are various types of weapons, vehicles, portraits of commanders.
