This tour combines the most significant historical sites of the city. You will see Saqqara, which served as a necropolis for the ancient Egyptian kings. Visit the Serapeum temple - an underground structure dedicated to the god Serapis. Citadel of Saladin, Mosque of Muhammad Ali, Military Museum - are also included in our program.
What to Expect
Saqqara. This is where the royal necropolis of the Old Kingdom is located, as well as the Step Pyramid of Djoser - the oldest of all pyramids ever built by Egyptian civilization.
Serapeum Temple. This place was discovered by the French Egyptologist Auguste Mariette in 1851. It includes underground galleries dedicated to the Hellenistic god Serapis.
Citadel of Saladin - a magnificent medieval military fortress. Considered one of the most important attractions of Islamic Cairo.
Mosque of Muhammad Ali. We will step inside, admire the architecture, and discuss the influence and fate of the man for whom it was built.
Cairo Military Museum. You will learn about the country's history, visit several halls - military glory of Egypt, weapons, military customs, and more. Among the exhibits are various types of weapons, vehicles, portraits of commanders.
