About this experience
Prepare to travel back 5200 years to visit the ancient cities of Giza and Memphis, touch the ground that remembers the great pharaohs, and immerse yourself in their beliefs and legends. Imagine ancient priests and craftsmen, hear the echoing sounds, and brush off the centuries-old dust from the stones. The pyramids and the Sphinx, the necropolises of Saqqara and Dahshur - all included in our program!
What to Expect
- The Pyramids of Giza. We'll start with the greatest burial structure in the world and the only one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World still standing, the Pyramid of Khufu. You'll literally touch one of the greatest mysteries of antiquity, hear myths and facts about the legendary constructions. Then, you'll observe the Sphinx, next to which we'll discuss the oldest monumental sculpture on Earth, which has survived to this day, and understand the symbolism of this mystical creature.
- Saqqara. In this village near Cairo lies the oldest necropolis of the capital of the Ancient Kingdom - Memphis. You'll see the first pyramid in history, built 4700 years ago. It is also considered the oldest stone building in the world.
- Memphis - an ancient Egyptian city, one of the World Heritage Sites, founded in 3200 BCE by King Narmer. It was the capital of Egypt during the Old Kingdom (3-6 dynasties), as well as a cultural center of the ancient world.
- Dahshur - within the necropolis, you'll be amazed by the Bent and Red Pyramids, as well as the pyramid of the mother of Khufu. There is also another unusual structure made of clay. We'll also enter all these buildings.
