About this experience
Not everyone knows that Kyoto was the capital of Japan for many centuries. Nevertheless, it has preserved the majestic atmosphere of the main city of the island nation. We invite you to visit the iconic temples and the brightest places of Kyoto, hear the legends associated with them, and capture the spirit of true Japan.
What to Expect
- Five-storied ancient pagoda of To-ji - a symbol of Kyoto. Considered the most beautiful pagoda in Japan.
- Kiyomizu-dera, also known as the Pure Water Temple - one of the most popular Buddhist temples in Japan. It is located on Mount Otowa, where, according to legend, the spirit of the goddess Kannon resides.
- Golden Pavilion of Kinkaku-ji - the former residence of the 14th-century shogun and now the hallmark of Kyoto. The walls of the palace are truly covered in gold.
- Ryoan-ji Temple's stone garden - the best place for rest and meditation.
- Rare 'Starbucks' located in an antique shogun villa.
- Fushimi Inari Shrine's Thousand Vermilion Gates Torii - the main shrine of Fushimi Inari, the patron of commerce. You will see the famous tunnels of red Torii gates - a distinctive feature of any Shinto shrine.
- Gion District of Tea Houses in the center of Kyoto - the most famous geisha district in Japan.
