About this experience
In the south of Beaujolais region, villages built from stone with a yellow-golden color stretch out. During the journey, you'll see castles, chapels, churches, residents' homes, ancient laundry washhouses, and all other structures that create a unique atmosphere of fairy tales and magic here. You'll also have the chance to taste the local wine.
Program
During the tour, we will visit the village of Oingt (One), where we will take a walk through medieval streets that offer picturesque views of vineyards and surrounding settlements. In 2007, the village of One was included in the list of 'The Most Beautiful Villages of France'.
Château de Bagnols is a XIII century architectural monument. Restoration works on the castle have been carried out since 1987, and now the castle is one of the most remarkable in Beaujolais. After being turned into a five-star hotel, it has become one of the most fashionable hotels in Europe. The 26 apartments replicate the era of the 15th-16th centuries; in one of the halls of the gourmet restaurant, awarded a Michelin star, there is the largest Gothic-style fireplace in Europe. The French-style garden and the views of Beaujolais landscapes from the windows complete the visit to the castle with unforgettable impressions.
