From Paris to the Chateaux of the Loire Valley: Chambord, Chenonceau, Amboise (all inclusive)
About this experience
Chateaux, gardens, and wineries of the Loire Valley - it's hard to cover everything in a day. But we've designed an itinerary for you to see the most interesting, learn the most important, and taste the real deal. Three ancient chateaux will transport you back in time, and the guide will complement the tour with fascinating stories. And of course, a true French charm will be added to the trip with wine tasting at a local winery.
What to Expect
07:30 - departure from your hotel. We will drive 180 km to the first location. Along the way, the guide will tell you about the history of France related to the castles of the Loire Valley.
10:00–11:45 - visit to Chateau Chambord. This is the largest chateau in the region with 440 rooms, 282 fireplaces, and 84 staircases. It is known for its double-spiral staircase, possibly designed by Leonardo da Vinci. You will learn about the history of the castle and its construction.
12:45–13:30 - wine tasting. At a local family winery, you will taste 7 varieties and find out how wines have been made here for centuries.
13:30–15:00 - departure to the town of Amboise and free time for lunch. If needed, we can help you book a table.
15:00–16:15 - visit to Chateau Amboise. You will hear the history of the chateau - the birthplace of princes, the reign of kings, and the burial place of the greatest master of the Renaissance era, Leonardo da Vinci. You will see the chapel with his tomb.
16:15–18:00 - departure to Chenonceau, a walk through the chateau and its gardens. The guide will share facts about the creation of the castle, whose other name is the "Ladies' Castle". The Renaissance-style gardens of Chenonceau will also not leave you indifferent - more than 130,000 plants bloom here annually.
18:00–21:00 - return to Paris
Organizational Details
- Transfer, guide services, entrance tickets to the chateaux, visit to the winery with wine tasting are included in the excursion price
- The trip will be on a Mercedes E220 if there are 2-3 people, or on a Mercedes minivan if there are 3-6 people. Child car seats are available.
