About this experience
Sheikh or Shikhovo is the closest settlement to the capital. Here the sheikhs settled to pray in the place where the descendants of the Prophet Muhammad are buried. You will see the mosque housing this mausoleum. You will also learn about the history of oil production. And you will see the transformation of modern Azerbaijan life in the poorest areas of Baku during the era of Tsarist Russia.
What to expect
- Antique houses. We will examine the private houses of Baku residents from the Tsarist Russia era - some of them have preserved the appearance in which the Nobel brothers saw them.
- Ship graveyard. You will see decommissioned Soviet-era ships that have remained standing on the shore.
