About this experience
Not every traveler crosses the Bosphorus to the Asian part of Istanbul - and in vain! In Uskudar, mainly local people live and relax, so the real Istanbul is here. We will leisurely stroll through the colorful streets, have tea with a view of the Bosphorus, and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the area.
What to expect
Live a day like a Turk
Our goal is not to just go around the sights. I want you to fully feel the spirit of the area. For this, I have a list of pleasant to-do's and must-see places:
- From the Salacak promenade, we will admire the view of the Maiden's Tower (if we are there in the evening, we will see the tower illuminated - it's very romantic)
- We will immerse ourselves in the atmosphere of the old East on the streets of Uskudar
- We will visit the cozy Kuzguncuk district to take photos with wooden carved houses - colorful and very photogenic
- We will visit the most modern mosque in the city
- We will climb the Camlica Hill for a view of the Sea of Marmara, the Princes' Islands, and modern Istanbul
- We will spend time by the Bosphorus with a glass of Turkish tea
- We will try local food in one of the cozy cafes on the promenade
And we will also take a ride on public transport, visit the Maiden's Tower, and do much more interesting things!
