About this experience
This walk will reveal Istanbul to you in a way that is not written about in Wikipedia and unknown to ordinary tourists. We will explore the districts of the Asian part of the city: from the creatively infused Kadikoy to the conservative Uskudar. Spicy markets, narrow streets, creations of the legendary Sinan, vibrant graffiti, and antique shops - these colorful details will come together to create a unique image of Istanbul!
What to expect
Chic Kadikoy
We will start the tour with a walk along the Bosphorus Strait, which, like a bridge, connects Europe and Asia. In the Kadikoy area, you won't encounter crowds of bustling tourists, but you will fully experience the atmosphere of a dynamic, carefree, authentic district where people know how to enjoy life. We will pass by colorful shop windows, cafes, and restaurants, admire graffiti, peek into an alley with colorful umbrellas, and visit antique shops.
Conservative Uskudar
Next, we will head to a district where Turks strictly adhere to traditions. You will learn about the history of Uskudar, encounter the creations of the great architect Sinan - the Mihrimah Sultan Mosque, built in honor of Suleiman the Magnificent's daughter, the Shemsi Pasha Mosque, whose dome does not attract birds, and the Valide Sultan Mosque. You will also construct a complete image of the district on its narrow streets, among antique shops, old wooden houses, and bold cats.
Contrasting Kuzguncuk
One of the oldest and most multicultural districts in Istanbul. Greeks, Jews, Armenians, and Turks peacefully coexist in Kuzguncuk, representing people of different cultures and religions. Along the way, we will encounter temples of several faiths, take photos against the backdrop of colorful and creative houses, and of course, discuss what life in the area is like today.
