About this experience
Yerevan has many galleries and other locations that are not mentioned in guidebooks and completely unknown to people. As an art historian, they are very interesting to me. I have researched all the places and chosen the most authentic ones for this tour. I will show you the creative Yerevan, teach you to appreciate Armenian art over a delicious brunch, and talk about the lives of indigenous Yerevantsi.
What to Expect
The house-museum of two Armenian art meters - the artist Akop Kodjoyan and the sculptor Ara Sarkisyan. They were at the origins of forming Soviet Armenian painting and sculpture. The tour will be conducted by the sculptor's granddaughter and the museum director, so each visitor has the opportunity to touch the personal lives of geniuses.
Cozy streets where the Yerevan intelligentsia lived. I will share interesting facts about the houses and fates of Yerevantsi. I will show you where the first public library in the city was located on Spendiaran Street, and where Maxim Gorky lived on Parpetsi.
Art brunch and informal lecture. In a cozy and intimate cafe, I will talk about Armenian painting and answer your questions. We will communicate and learn to understand art simply and positively.
