We will understand what captivated Woody Allen about Barcelona. We will see which bar Picasso and Gaudi used to frequent, and where Hemingway used to write. We will visit the square where 'Perfume: The Story of a Murderer' was filmed, and the locations of the movie 'Vicky Cristina Barcelona'.
What to Expect
- We will walk through the filming locations of Woody Allen's 'Vicky Cristina Barcelona', who adores Barcelona (I will tell you why). We will see the restaurant where the movie was filmed, and also visit the gathering place of the social bohemia of the late 19th - early 20th centuries. We will discuss what life was like in Barcelona in different eras, and get acquainted with Catalan traditions.
- We will go to the square where Tom Tykwer filmed the mysterious 'Perfume: The Story of a Murderer'. We will learn about the history of the movie's creation and the choice of film locations.
- In the Gothic Quarter, we will find corners related to the life of Pablo Picasso. We will walk through the places he loved to visit, and briefly stop by an authentic 19th-century bar, which was a favorite spot not only for Picasso but also for Salvador Dali. Even the enigmatic Antoni Gaudi used to drop by here.
- We will visit the famous bar where Ernest Hemingway wrote his works and spent all his free time, sipping absinthe.
