Ancona is an ancient port city, yet untouched by tourist attention. Here you can experience authentic Italy without crowds of people and souvenir vendors. Together we will visit the most important city squares, admire the Cathedral, take a stroll along the locals' favorite boulevard, and explore Cardeto Park. It will be fascinating!
What to expect
Santa Maria della Piazza Church. You will admire its facade resembling a stone book. Then you will enter inside and descend into the basement rooms. You will be amazed by early Christian mosaics and frescoes.
Cathedral. Located in a picturesque place with views of Ancona, the Mediterranean Sea, and the infinite hills of Monte Conero. I will tell you about the famous paintings depicting the cathedral and the relics it houses.
Arch of Trajan. You will study the 18th-century creation of Apollodorus of Damascus and learn about its history.
Cardeto Park. You will enjoy the typical Mediterranean vegetation and see the lighthouse that has been operating since 1860.
People's Square. I will show you its churches, palaces, fountains, and monuments. And also reveal the events that took place here.
Vittoria Boulevard. This is the locals' favorite promenade. Like them, we will walk under the shade of plane trees, poplars, ash trees, and acacias.
In addition, you will visit the squares of Roma, Cavour, and Stamira. And you will also explore the picturesque district of Passetto with a panoramic view of the Adriatic Sea.
