What to Expect
Diverse Almaty
Our walk will start at Republic Square. Gradually descending to the lower part of the center, we will see the main and secret places of Almaty. Spacious squares and wide avenues will be replaced by quiet alleys and shady alleys. The modern pedestrian zone of Panfilov Street will delight us with street musicians performances and art installations. The ancient buildings of the opera and drama theaters will remind us of the city's past.
Ascension Cathedral, Green Bazaar and More
We will visit the Academy of Sciences - a local guide park. We will recall quotes from famous songs on the alley on the way to the monument to Tsoi. We will see the house of the "son of the Kazakh people" - Dinmukhamed Kunaev - and the Ascension Cathedral. And also we will visit the legendary Green Bazaar, famous for its abundance of fresh products and the hospitality of sellers. I will share curious details from the life of ordinary townspeople and help you feel it from the inside.
