About this experience
One of the best souvenirs you can bring from sunny Montenegro is wine. This trip will allow you to enjoy the tastes of the beautiful drink at the best private wineries and purchase quality wine. You will learn about the specifics of Montenegrin viticulture, admire the beauty of Lake Skadar and the Budva Riviera coast.
What to Expect
Photo stops at scenic viewpoints
On the way to the wineries, we will have a slight ascent above the sea coast, offering unforgettable panoramas. You will enjoy the azure waters of the Adriatic and views of the Skadar Lake region from a height of about 700 m above sea level. Along the way, we will pass many local vineyards and small settlements with an authentic atmosphere - I will tell you about the history of this region of Montenegro.
Wineries and home wine cellars
We can visit several wineries near Lake Skadar, in the Podgorica or Rijeka Crnojevica area. You will meet the owners of the wineries, admire the vineyards in the mountain valleys, and learn the secrets of wine production in Montenegro. And, of course, enjoy tastings of several wine varieties and the Balkan spirit rakia with traditional local snacks (prosciutto, cheese, olives). Here you can also buy quality wine at very pleasant prices.
Skadar Lake - a bird paradise with lilies and water lilies
Our route passes through Lake Skadar, so if you wish, you can take a boat for 1-2 hours and enjoy the views directly from the lake. Swimming is possible both from the boat and from the beach on the lake - for this, please bring towels, a change of clothes, and swimming gear.
If you have already been to Lake Skadar, I will offer an alternative route based on your preferences. Also, if you wish, we can stop for lunch at a restaurant of your choice.
