What to Expect
Oviedo's Landmarks
I will tell you the history of the city's creation in the Plaza Feijoo, where the first monastery appeared. You will visit the Gothic Cathedral of San Salvador and learn about the historical and religious relics stored in its Holy Chamber. Explore the magnificent altarpiece and hear about the Reconquista and the pilgrimage movement to the relics of Saint James. I will guide you through the medieval streets, where each house holds important events, and help you understand the various types of the famous cheese at the ancient local market.
Oviedo from a Bird's-Eye View
You will visit Plaza Escandalera, the city's geographical center, and uncover the secrets of its name. You will also see the Parliament building and the Campoamor Theater, where the prestigious Princess of Asturias Award is presented annually. Then we will stroll through luxurious streets with 18th-19th century architecture. Along the way, we will encounter over 110 bronze sculptures by Spanish and international masters. I will tell you how they ended up on the streets, in the parks, and squares of Oviedo. Finally, you will climb Mount Naranco, where two famous Romanesque buildings are located, and enjoy a magnificent view of the city.

Food, drinks, and entrance tickets are not included in the tour price: Cathedral entrance fee is 7 euros for adults, 5 euros for students aged 12-18, children under 12 enter for free.
