What to Expect
Colonial Center
You will visit the historic center with ancient British architecture. You will see Victoria Station, the clock tower, the Prince of Wales Museum, and the Gateway of India, where British ships once docked. You will also appreciate the Taj Mahal Hotel, opened in 1903 in a magnificent colonial building. You can tour it from the outside or have a cup of coffee inside. Additionally, you will admire the largest private home in the world, owned by a local billionaire.
Mumbai and 'Shantaram'
For many, Mumbai revealed all its contradictions thanks to the bestseller by Australian writer 'Shantaram'. We will visit places associated with it. You will visit the bustling tourist areas of Colaba - where the main events of the book take place. And also drop by the legendary Leopold Cafe - a favorite spot for artists, writers, expats, and the protagonists of the famous novel.
Another India
You will see the open-air laundries of Dhobi Ghats, located in colorful residential quarters. Take a ride along the modern Marine Drive and admire the famous Bandra Sea Link. Visit the stunning Babulnath Temple, take a leisurely walk by the sacred Banganga Tank, and find yourself in an Indian village inside a progressive metropolis. Finally, explore the Bandra area with beautiful views, a fort, and homes of Bollywood stars.
