Lankaran is a city in southern Azerbaijan, a true Eastern fairy tale. You will drive and walk along cozy streets and alleys, enjoy the aroma of tea at local plantations, admire the landscapes at Lake Khanbulan, visit healing thermal waters and a beach with black sand. You will learn what lyavyangi and uzechykhdy are, and indulge in fresh mandarins.
What to expect
You will see the main attractions of the city:
- Admire the huge samovar - a monument to local tea
- Take atmospheric photos at Lake Khanbulan and gather fresh fruits in a citrus garden
- Visit the beach with healing black sand and thermal waters, where you can dip your feet or bathe fully if desired
- Inspect the interior of the palace of Khan Talishinsky (also known as the Palace of Love) and the architectural monument - the 19th-century Zindan fortress
