Walking tour through the heart of Tbilisi in quest format without a guide
About this experience
Do you remember solving rebuses? When was the last time you listened to poems and practiced mathematics? I have prepared for you more than 15 various riddles and top locations in the very heart of Tbilisi. This is a unique author's adventure where you are the main character. Along the way, you can linger where you want or pass by places that don't attract you as much.
How the quest works
You will need a mobile phone or tablet with internet access and the Telegram application. At the agreed time, I will send you a link to the quest in a Telegram bot. The quest is designed to last 3–4 hours, but you can take a break at any time. The game is linear: after completing one task, the next one appears. You complete the tasks on your own, but don't worry—I am always in touch and ready to help if something goes wrong.
What to expect
- First, you will hear the city's history and legends about its creation
- You will visit the heart of Tbilisi, explore the Sololaki district, and more
- Enjoy beautiful panoramas
- Ride the cable car
- See unique historical photos
- Learn about the role of Armenians in the fate of Tbilisi
- Meet the 40th President of the United States
- Decipher the main secret of khinkalis (Georgian dumplings)
Who is this quest for
The program is designed for adults: people over 16 years old can handle the questions on their own. However, the quest can be completed with children, helping them along the way. The quest is not suitable for people with limited mobility and children in strollers, as the route has many stairs.
Organizational details
- The walk will start at the Holy Trinity Cathedral and end in the famous Sololaki district
- You will need to buy tickets for the cable car (no more than 3 lari per person). It closes at 10:00 PM.
- The territory of the Daredjan Palace (one of the quest's locations) is open from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, but you can complete the quest without entering it
- Women need a head covering to visit the temple
Technical nuances
- To participate in the quest, make sure you have a smartphone or tablet with internet access (preferably unlimited) and the Telegram app installed
- Be sure to check that your speaker/headphones are working so you can listen to audio tracks
- Access is provided for one account. Therefore, I recommend one phone for a group of no more than 2-4 people to comfortably complete the tasks. If you have more people, it's better to place two or more orders
- For 2 people, I recommend using wireless headphones. For groups of 3 or more, a portable speaker is recommended
