Kutaisi up close
About this experience
What does it take to make the city closer? A few hours alone with it. But first, it would be better to introduce you to each other. On this walk, it will be just you, Kutaisi, and my voice in your headphones. You will visit the most interesting places and explore hidden corners of the city, unravel its mysteries, and acquire shared secrets. Thus, you will gain a new friend - Kutaisi, whom only you know.
What to expect
How the quest goes
The quest without a guide is carried out at your comfortable pace in an online format. I will send tasks in messengers, ask riddles, check answers, and send audio or text (optional) files with the most interesting facts, events, architectural details worth paying attention to.
I am not a bot, so feel free to ask me any questions and seek travel advice.
Our route
Kutaisi is known as the city of myths and roses, and it is also one of the oldest cities in Georgia, which at some historical periods became the capital.
- Our walk will start from the Central Square, where you will figure out what the gold figures adorning it mean.
- Then you will visit the Royal and Jewish quarters with photogenic locations and captivating urban stories about the local bohemia. At the end of the 19th century, Kutaisi was called the city of poets, or the Montparnasse of the Caucasus. Its streets remember the steps of Galaktion and Titsian Tabidze, Paolo Iashvili, and even Vladimir Mayakovsky.
- Kutaisi is famous for interesting monuments, reliefs, and modern murals. First, you will find them, and then I will tell you who created them and why.
- After completing the quest, you will receive a surprise - a mini-guide in PDF format to the most delicious places in Kutaisi, which I will send to you via messenger or email.
