About this experience
In the usual understanding, a desert is golden sands, but not when it comes to Wahiba. It amazes with its palette - from white to red and black. Add to this the emerald springs in the oases and you get an incredible visual combination. It is in these places that we will take you. You will see the largest oasis in Oman, admire the sandy landscapes, and the beautiful sunset.
What to Expect
- We will go on a trip in a comfortable jeep
On the way, we will stop at the largest mountain oasis in Oman, Wadi Bani Khalid - You will see natural pools filled with emerald water. If you wish, you can swim in them, take a walk along the gorge, and briefly visit a shallow cave.
- You will hear stories from the guide about the history of Oman, religion, and nature. You can ask him any questions if you wish.
- And then you will meet the Wahiba Desert, which will spread before you like a fantastical picture in all shades - from white like a blank sheet of paper, and red like a blazing flame, to black like the darkness of night.
Sample Route Timing:
09:00 - 09:30 - meeting at the hotel reception
09:30 - 11:30 - departure to Wadi Bani Khalid
11:30 - 13:00 - walk in the oasis
13:10 - 14:00 - lunch at a local restaurant
14:00 - 14:45 - road to Wahiba Desert
14:45 - 16:30 - desert visit
16:30 - 18:30 - transfer to the hotel
Organizational Details
- The excursion cost includes transfers and guide services
- The trip will be on a Nissan Pathfinder, Toyota 4Runner, or MG vehicle
