About this experience
Upper Balkaria is a special place in the North Caucasus. Historical artifacts blend here with fantastic mountainous nature. You will visit an abandoned village, see ancient ancestral towers and remnants of settlements. Enjoy fairy-tale landscapes in Cherek Gorge, at Blue Lakes, and at the Troll's Language viewpoint. And finally, relax at the hot springs.
What to expect
- Cherek Gorge. This is a picturesque stretch of mountain road with views of cliffs and a gorge, at the bottom of which the Cherek River flows. The views in these places are stunning!
- Blue Lakes. You will see 4 small lakes: Lower, Blue, Dry, and Secret. All of them are turquoise in color. Find out the reason for this on the tour.
- Abandoned village Upper Balkaria. Here you will find ancestral towers, an ancient fortress, a waterfall, and sheep pens. We will share the history of this mysterious place with you.
- Troll's Language. We will show you a piece of Norway in Kabardino-Balkaria. This is a rocky outcrop with panoramic views of Bezengi Wall, cliffs, and glaciers of the Caucasus Range.
- Hot springs. On the way back home, we will visit the hot narzan springs of Aushigera, where there are health complexes with pools.

- One of the guides from our team will lead the tour for you
- Transportation is included in the price. We conduct excursions on prepared off-road vehicles: Mitsubishi Pajero, Toyota 100, or UAZ Patriot.
- Narzan baths are paid for separately - 250 rubles.
- Upon request, we can arrange and organize a picnic in advance. Cost - 500 rubles per person.
- We will not rush and can stop at any point of the route
