About this experience
The Uffizi Gallery is a journey through the pages of history not only of Florence, but of Western art as a whole. You will understand that all images created by humans over the centuries are closely interconnected. It's not accidental!
What to Expect
Immerse yourself in the history of the evolution of Florentine painting and evaluate with my help the contribution it made to world art. I will help you see famous paintings in a new light and uncover their secrets. I will guide you through the gallery halls and tell you:
- Why Michelangelo's Madonnas are so powerful
- Who didn't like Botticelli and what Leonardo grumbled about
- Why paintings are almost always rectangular
- Which Florentine artists inspired the avant-garde of the last century
- What is the connection between medieval icons and the official portraits of the Cosimo I de' Medici family
- How the relationships of the great masters and their patrons evolved
And other interesting facts!
