About this experience
The Vatican is a tiny state that will engulf you for a whole day and leave a lasting impression. In three hours, we will explore its courtyards and galleries, as well as the main religious buildings and the treasures of painting and sculpture that are kept within them. We will talk not only about the legacy of Michelangelo and Bernini, but also about the way of life of the main inhabitants of the Vatican - Catholic priests and Roman popes.
What to expect
We will visit the smallest state that has a huge influence on the religious part of the world. You will see marble effigies of emperors and gods of Ancient Rome, hear myths and historical facts about them. You will admire luxurious tapestries and geographical maps in the Vatican galleries. Take photos in the Pine Cone Courtyard and the Square Courtyard.
In the Sistine Chapel, you will admire the masterpieces of Michelangelo, learn about the life and habits of Roman pontiffs. Visit the magnificent St. Peter's Basilica - the largest Catholic church in the world. We will discuss the main designer of the basilica and the founder of the Baroque style - Gian Lorenzo Bernini. And we will pay special attention to the 'Vatican Pieta' - a sculpture created by Michelangelo when he was 24 years old.
