The collection of the Vatican Museums has been gathered for almost 500 years, and each exhibit has its own rich history. We will tell you about the most important works and focus on interesting details. You will see works by Michelangelo, Botticelli, and other renowned masters and touch the history of humanity through art.
What to expect
Guided tour of the museums
You will see a collection of Eastern antiquities from Assyria and Egypt, artifacts of the Etruscans. Explore artworks from the Greco-Roman antiquity period and early Christian relics from the 3rd to 14th centuries. Visit the Vatican Pinacoteca and get acquainted with works by Italian masters and a collection of Byzantine art.
Vatican's gem
The Sistine Chapel is an outstanding Renaissance monument. You will see some of Michelangelo's most famous works - his fresco cycle on the ceiling and the fresco on the altar wall 'The Last Judgment'. Admire tapestries created by Raphael. And see works by other great artists - Sandro Botticelli, Domenico Ghirlandaio, Cosimo Rosselli, and others. And, of course, you will visit the rooms of Raphael and the Sistine Chapel.
Organizational details
Important: from March 22 to October, the tour may not only be scheduled at 11:45 and 13:15, but also at other times. Details can be clarified in correspondence with the guide.
The guide buys tickets to the museum, but they are paid for separately. The ticket prices for adults are €40, for ages 6 to 18 - €30 (headphones, skip-the-line voucher included), children under 6 - free.
Please note that from January 1, 2024, the Vatican is changing its rules, museum tickets are now personalized and non-refundable, strictly tied to the date and time of entry, and must be booked in advance. Therefore, it is necessary to book the tour well in advance before making a prepayment, check with me if there are available spots in the group.
- The Vatican Museums tour does not include a tour of St. Peter's Basilica. It can be arranged upon request for an additional fee - €5 per person, including headphone rental. If the whole group or the majority agrees - the guide will conduct the tour for you (+30-40 minutes to the total time). If not - you can visit the basilica on your own without a guide.
- On Saturdays, the tour only covers the Vatican Museums; the guide will not take you through the secret corridors to St. Peter's Basilica.
- The Vatican reserves the right to close the passage between the museums and St. Peter's Basilica without warning, making it impossible to visit the basilica during the tour due to unforeseen circumstances.
- During holiday periods, the start time may be changed. We will inform you in advance about this.
- Sometimes there may be no tickets available for the day and time you selected. We will notify you about this 24 hours in advance and offer to reschedule the tour for another day or refund the prepayment.
- There is a dress code in the museums - clothing must be modest (details can be clarified in correspondence).
- The tour is conducted by an expert guide.

I'm thrilled with the guide! Unfortunately, I forgot the name 🙈 but it was very interesting and exciting! Instead of the planned 2-hour tour, it turned out to be much longer and it was awesome!!! I haven't read or known about much of this information anywhere. I'm satisfied!!!
