What to expect
City Exploration
You will be greeted right at the airport, and that's when your introduction to Lisbon will begin. First, head to one of the best viewpoints in the capital at Eduardo VII Park. The whole city will be laid out before you, and as we drive through the most iconic areas of Lisbon, you will feel like you have been here for days. Not a single corner of the capital will escape you. Passing through the main Commerce Square, through the grid-like streets of Baixa, you will drive to the bohemian Bairro Alto and Chiado, through the main transport artery of Lisbon passing through Restauradores, Rossio, and Figueira squares, you will arrive at the medieval Alfama. There, wander through the maze of alleys and see the lower city from the viewpoints of Portas do Sol and Nossa Senhora do Monte.
The Spirit of Portugal
Visiting Belem, you will learn how Portugal became a haven for the Knights Templar, the cost of each expedition, and how the Portuguese later ruled half the world. We will tell you about the devastating Lisbon earthquake of 1755 and how in one day the richest country in the world became a pauper, begging for alms from the mighty of the world. But this story has a happy ending, and one of the main roles in it was played by the figure of Marquis of Pombal, whose monument you will see in the square with the same name. You will discover all the stories of Lisbon: where Ian Fleming created his James Bond, in which hotels all of European nobility lived during World War II together with representatives of the intelligence services.
The Edge of the Earth and Main Sights
You will admire the jewels of Manueline style and the symbols of Portugal's Golden Age - the country of explorers who did so much for the history of great geographical discoveries. From Estoril, you will reach the elite resort of Cascais - a city of eternal celebration, admire its marina, noble mansions, and royal palaces located along the oceanfront. And then you will find yourself at the westernmost point of Eurasia - Cape Roca. The Romans believed it to be the edge of the earth, and for the fearless Portuguese, the lighthouse of Cape Roca was the first thing they saw when returning from distant voyages to their homeland. You will feel the boundlessness and power of the ocean, to leave Lisbon with these impressions or to conquer it further.
