What to expect
Part One: Wonders of the Ras Mohammed Reserve
The first national park of Egypt, protected by UNESCO: here you will see dense mangrove thickets, natural geological faults, the Salt Lake, the coast of the Gulf of Suez, and the Gate of Allah - a monument erected to mark the end of hostilities with Israel.
Part Two: Half a day, night, and morning in the camping site
Upon arrival, a delicious and hearty lunch awaits you: dishes of the national cuisine, meat and fish cooked on charcoal, refreshing beverages, fresh vegetables, and fruits. If desired, you can go snorkeling (shore entry): with a mask and fins, enjoy colorful corals and fish. Closer to evening, a Bedouin will light a bonfire, prepare dinner, and set up your tents for sleep. Early in the morning, breakfast will be served; after resting after the meal and taking final swims, we will head back to Sharm.
About the Camping Site
- Situated in the beautiful Marsa Bareika Bay, separating the Ras Mohammed Reserve from the Sinai Peninsula. The camp is sheltered from winds, with a sandy beach and a gentle sea entrance.
- Along the entire length of the bay grows a vibrant young coral reef. Large fish like to swim into this calm bay - during snorkeling, you can see Napoleon wrasse, stingrays, barracudas, and sea turtles.
- The camping site is serviced by a Bedouin who takes care of guests' comfort, cleanliness, and water supply.
- Inside each tent is a comfortable sleeping area, clean bedding. Outside, there are equipped shower and toilet facilities.
- You will be provided with delicious food. Lunch consists of salads, chicken, meat, fish, rice, pasta. Dinner includes chicken/beef kebabs, rice, pasta, salads, and tahini (traditional sesame paste). For breakfast: eggs, cheeses, salad, bread, coffee/tea.
- The camping site is guarded by the Egyptian army; no one is allowed in after 6:00 PM.
Organizational Details
- Stay at the camping site, transportation services, meals, as well as blankets, candles, and other small items for your comfort are included in the price. Only drinks are additionally paid for.
- We will pick you up from your hotel in a comfortable minivan (departure around 08:00) and bring you back after the tour. The distance from Sharm to the Ras Mohammed Reserve is about 15 km.
