About this experience
Ras-Mohammed is the country's first national park, opened back in 1989. Here you will see dense mangrove thickets, natural geological faults, the Salt Lake, and the stunning coast of the Gulf of Suez. If you wish, you can go snorkeling: the southern part of the reserve is among the top ten best places in the world for underwater swimming.
What to Expect
Idyllic Landscapes
You will see the main attractions of the reserve. The excursion includes:
- Allah's Gate - a monument erected in honor of the end of the hostilities with Israel. I will decode its symbolic meaning and help you understand why the stone blocks forming it are arranged in this particular way.
- Mangrove Grove - you will admire mangrove trees with dazzling white trunks and branches covered in real salt. I will tell you what other secrets this amazing place holds.
- Tectonic Fault - the result of a powerful earthquake that occurred millions of years ago. You will see its consequences and hear the details of this event.
- Gulfs of Aqaba and Suez - if you wish, you can swim with a mask and observe fantastically beautiful corals.
- Salt Lake - the water in it is similar in composition to the Dead Sea. You will learn about the beneficial elements it contains and enjoy the surreal views.
