About this experience
The Treasure is the only collection in the world of works of art, relics, and other items brought by rulers and believers at different times as a sign of reverence to the saint. You will see earrings considered a symbol against the plague, admire thousands of diamonds, rubies, and emeralds, and learn how a museum statue helps women conceive.
What to Expect
Surrounded by Luxury
Every Italian city has its own patron saint. In Naples, it is Saint Januarius. The treasury, which contains more than 21,000 items, is more extensive and more valuable than the treasures of the British crown and the Russian emperors. I will show you the most precious exhibit — a necklace made of pure gold, consisting of 13 pendants adorned with 700 diamonds, 276 rubies, and 92 emeralds. You will also see earrings considered a symbol against the plague, a bishop's mitre made of pure gold and silver, 51 statues of the saints — helpers of Saint Januarius, and other items with thousands of precious stones.
