Naples is one of the oldest cities in Europe, owes its origin to the first Greek settlers, mysterious Etruscans, local Oscan tribes, and Romans. Byzantines, Normans, French, Spaniards, and Austrians came to fight for these rich, Vesuvius-fertilized lands. Under the Bourbons, Naples became part of the united Kingdom of Italy. Like a child at the mother's breast, this people absorbed the culture of many nations. And the unique knowledge of living nature left by the famous Greek Sibyl is still used in everyday life today.
