About this experience
I invite you to explore the western and northern parts of the magical island! We will visit one of Bali's sacred temples, explore shrines dedicated to water gods and goddesses, ascend to an observation platform to admire views of picturesque lakes, shop at a fruit market, and relax and meditate by a beautiful cascading waterfall.
What to expect
- Tanah Lot Temple, located on a rock separated from the shore by 30 meters of water. This is one of the island's sacred temples under the protection of UNESCO.
- Ulun Danu Temple on Lake Beratan. It is a complex consisting of 10 separate temples containing 285 shrines and pavilions. They were created in honor of water deities, agriculture, arts, crafts, and holy springs. Religious rites and colorful ceremonies are often held here. We will explore all parts of the temple, except the central one reserved for these solemn events.
- Viewpoint overlooking Buyan and Tamblingan Lakes. We will enjoy beautiful views, and I will tell you how earthquakes, landslides, and volcanic eruptions have influenced the formation of the lakes.
- Fruit Market. We will stop by a local market where you can try fresh and delicious fruits, have a vitamin cocktail, and buy something to take home.
- Banyumala Waterfall approximately 40 meters high. At its base is a pool of almost perfect circular shape. The water is absolutely clear, allowing you to see the bottom. This is a great place for meditation and yoga: a small cozy area surrounded by quiet countryside encourages excellent concentration.
