About this experience
I have prepared a unique program that will introduce you to the main mosque of Astana in a multifaceted and interesting way. What is its capacity, architectural features? Do you know the rules of visiting the mosque according to Islamic canons? We will reveal the engineering secrets of the building: how the acoustics, heating, and lighting are arranged. We will explore all the rooms to find answers to these questions!
What to Expect
Astana Central Mosque
It is among the top ten largest mosques in the world! I will guide you through this massive structure and its surroundings and reveal:
- What is the mosque's capacity
- What is the uniqueness of its architecture
- How many unusual objects from different countries were brought here and why
- How the lighting and acoustics are arranged
- Where the warmth comes from and how the ventilation system works
- The purpose of numerous rooms according to Islamic law
- What is hidden on the technical floor of the mosque, where access is forbidden for outsiders but allowed for us!
My goal is to make the traditions, rituals, and nuances of our culture understandable to you.
We will also visit the models museum: you will see various mausoleums and mosques of Kazakhstan in miniature.
After the tour, we can enjoy Kazakh tea and try baursaks in a friendly atmosphere!
