About this experience
The Taj Mahal is one of those places that is better to see once in person than a hundred times in a photo. You will find yourself in front of the white marble mausoleum at sunrise, when the morning sun colors the marble walls in shades of pink, and there will be no endless stream of tourists around. And after a traditional breakfast, you will be transported back to the era of the Great Mughals at the red Agra Fort.
What to expect
The Taj Mahal in the rays of the morning sun
At dawn, the symbol of India will appear before you - the white marble Taj Mahal, recognized masterpiece of Muslim art and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Where else but here can you feel the attractive atmosphere of the East? Through the example of the Taj Mahal, you will get acquainted with Mughal architecture, combining Indian, Persian, and Arab traditions. And the absence of countless tourists and marble walls painted in the delicate shades of sunrise will make your photos truly special.
Traditional Indian breakfast
After visiting the Taj Mahal, we will take a short rest and have a snack at a five-star hotel in Agra: you will be served either an Indian or a classic European breakfast, during which we will discuss the daily life and tastes of Indians. You will learn about how holidays and weekdays go in India, and understand the curious customs that the locals observe.
History of the Agra Fort
After breakfast, we will head to the medieval fortress built in the 16th century at the initiative of Akbar the Great on the site of the semi-ruined Badalgarh fort. You will learn about the historical and current purpose of the Agra Fort, and also admire its impressive walls made of Rajasthani red sandstone - it is thanks to them that the fort is called the 'Red Fort of India'.
