First of all, we will go to the ancient city market Ballaro - noisy, crowded and living its own life! Here you will find the most delicious Palermo cheeses and sausages and will be able to buy excellent Italian spices. Immersed in the color of Palermo, through secret alleys we will walk to the historical 19th-century restaurant: here you will taste the famous sandwich with spleen. I will tell you why rice balls are called arancini here, who invented this dish and why it is served with sugar and chocolate. And then near the Grand Theater, you will appreciate the taste of Sicilian cannoli with ricotta.
Gastronomic habits of Palermitans
It's not hard to guess that Sicilians love to eat a lot and deliciously, so through the gastronomic preferences of the locals, you will get a deeper insight into the history and traditions of Sicily.
