This 10-hour trip will give you both new knowledge and adventures. In the ancient capital, soul, and 'altar' of Georgia - Mtskheta - you will trace the country's Christian path and enjoy postcard-like panoramas. Afterwards, you will venture into an even further past in the caves of the pagan city of Uplistsikhe. And finally, you will get to know Borjomi - the city where the Romanovs rested, and the famous water that was present at all USSR meetings.
What to Expect
Mtskheta: Christianization of Georgia and Lermontov's Places
In the ancient and cozy city, located 'where, merging, whispering, embracing like two sisters, the streams of Aragvi and Kura', you will learn about the history of Christianity in Georgia and the significance of faith in the life and culture of our people. The program includes two significant places for the Christian world: the Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, where the Chiton of the Lord is kept, and the Jvari Monastery, standing on the site where the Georgian enlightener St. Nino erected the first cross on the Iberian land. Here you will discover one of the most recognizable panoramas of the country - the one immortalized in the poem 'Mtsyri'.
Uplistsikhe: Successful Life in Caves
We will drive westward and travel back in history - to the times of pagan Georgia. In the ancient cave city of Uplistsikhe, which was carved in the rock over centuries, you cannot help but be amazed by the titanic work of its creators. While strolling through Uplistsikhe, you will learn about the heyday of this place and see the sun-worship temple, sacrificial pits, numerous tunnels, a pharmacy, and a Hellenistic theater where performances have not been held for over one and a half thousand years.
Borjomi: Green City and Mineral Water
After immersing yourself in history and adventure in the caves, you will relax in Borjomi Central Park. I will tell you about the discovery of mineral springs, the secrets of healing water, the development of the resort, and the imperial residence. And of course, you will try the famous 'Borjomi' water gushing from the depths of the earth.

- The excursion starts in Tbilisi. I will pick you up from any agreed-upon location and take you back.
- Time is allocated for lunch in Gori or Borjomi
- Transport expenses are included in the price
- Entrance tickets to Uplistsikhe (15 lari) and Borjomi Park (2.5 lari) are additionally paid for

Excellent guide, excellent route, excellent car! Only positive emotions. We have already decided to go to the mountainous part of Georgia with Levan next summer. If anyone is hesitant about choosing Levan and his tours - do not hesitate, you will not regret it.

Overall, we had a good time, but ended up paying for the transfer, while we wanted to get maximum information. The guide was not very talkative.
