About this experience
Who among us has not heard of the Red Light District or, as it is also called, the Red Light District of Amsterdam? But it's not enough to read about it in a serious guidebook or a dubious newspaper. Stop guessing, feeling embarrassed, or being scared remotely - I invite you to take a walk through the oldest and forever young part of the city.
Think positively - only then will you be able to better understand and feel my neighborhood. This is exactly where I live, and I assure you that I know well how to communicate with this area! Therefore, I suggest you to discard all prudish prejudices, make sure you are over 18, and tune in to a spectacular-tasting mood!
The legendary district consists of three streets, two canals, one square, and countless alleys - this famous port of the 17th century has remained almost unchanged. The 'filling' of the district has always obeyed simple port laws: everything a sailor needs on solid ground. The consequences of the 1960s with the sexual revolution, drug legalization, and rock'n'roll fit perfectly into the cheerful atmosphere of the district. The subsequent popularity of electronic music and general tolerance completed its unique image and atmosphere.
Program
As we stroll between buildings and move from one establishment to another, I will introduce you to the history of the district from which the capital of the Netherlands and Holland grew. And during breaks, you can taste beer in a port bar, juniper liquor in an old liqueur distillery. We will visit a porn show and peek at prostitutes through the windows. And, of course, I will help you choose a variety of weed or hash to maintain a good mood during a break in the coffee shop. The walk can end at a nightclub or live concert in one of the small clubs in the heart of Amsterdam.
We can start the walk from your hotel (if it is located in the city center) or from the white obelisk at Dam Square.
