I will share the history of the city and the incredible traditions of the Sienese.
What to expect
The Very Best in Siena
You will walk through ancient narrow streets and typical Sienese districts known as 'contrade'. Visit the central clamshell-shaped square Piazza del Campo and learn about the interesting city events that take place there. Admire the medieval Palazzo Publico and the 102-meter Torre del Mangia bell tower. You will also see the oldest bank in Italy and the Basilica of San Domenico, where the relics of Saint Catherine are kept.
The Magnificent Duomo
We will visit the magnificent cathedral, clad in marble inside and out. You'll decipher its mosaics revealing ancient laws of life. Admire the 16th-century frescoes created by Raphael's friend, the artist Pinturicchio. You will also examine the wall paintings depicting the career of Renaissance intellectual and real human, Pope Pius II.
