What to Expect
Inside Bali
You will visit the ancient village temple Pura Desa and learn when and for what occasions the locals gather there. Next, you will meet mischievous macaques in the monkey forest, swing with a magnificent view of the jungle, and visit rice and coffee plantations. I will tell you why Ubud is considered the spiritual center of Bali, what crafts are developed there, and how it differs from other settlements in the country.
The Secrets of Tanah Lot
We will definitely stop by the stunning Tanah Lot Temple, the main symbol of Bali. It is located right on the ocean and connected to the land by a small isthmus that is submerged underwater during high tide. You will learn why Tanah Lot is included in the list of nine protector temples of the island and whether there really are sea snakes here guarding the sanctuary from evil ocean spirits.
