About this experience
You will visit all the most beautiful places of the amazing and very picturesque island of Bali: Mount Batur and the surrounding lake at its foot, the ancient Batuan Temple, the monkey forest, and coffee plantations. You will also see local settlements and rice terraces, taste spicy Indonesian food, and visit a village of craftsmen.
What to Expect
Village of craftsmen and traditional crafts
Your journey will start early in the morning, you will drive through emerald rice fields and picturesque local villages and observe how people live here. Visit authentic Balinese villages where dynasties of craftsmen have worked for centuries, passing on their skills from father to son. You will also see how stone and wood are processed and appreciate the golden and silver jewelry of ancient and modern masters.
Mount Batur and coffee plantation
You will see the gigantic ancient crater of the largest volcano in Asia, as well as the magical lake of the same name located at its foot. The panorama from the observation platform of the volcano will impress you with its power and grandeur. If you wish, you can have lunch in a local restaurant, combining a beautiful view with inexpensive and tasty Balinese food. Then you will visit picturesque plantations where various Balinese spices, cocoa, and coffee are grown. I will help you understand the production process of the world's most valuable coffee, Luwak, which is extracted using a unique technology.
Monkey Forest and Batuan Temple
You will visit the Batuan Temple located in the homonymous village and be impressed by the Balinese style of architecture with intricate stone carving. You will also visit the monkey forest, where you will meet playful Balinese macaques and take many picturesque photos near the rice terraces, impressively beautiful in their pristine beauty.
Organizational Details
- Not included in the price: entrance tickets - $12/person, drinks and food.
- You will be accompanied by a Balinese guide from our team. He speaks Russian well but with an accent. The focus of the trip will not be on historical facts but on the bright views of the island and impressions.
- If desired, you can add the Bird Park to the program. The entrance ticket costs $30 for adults and $20 for children.
Where You Can Start the Tour
- The price includes a transfer by air-conditioned minivan from Kuta, Nusa Dua, Sanur, Ubud, Denpasar, and Jimbaran.
- You can arrange a transfer for an additional fee from the Uluwatu and Amed areas (cost and details to be clarified in correspondence).
