About this experience
Istanbul is a city that never ceases to amaze. Each of its neighborhoods has its own unique face. We will explore the ancient Fatih with its Christian sanctuaries, Valens Aqueduct, and the 'Women's Market.' Then, we will head to the former Jewish district of Balat, where you will find cobblestone streets, retro cafes, antique shops, and colorful houses!
What to Expect
Fatih: Aqueduct and Ancient Churches
In this historic district, I will show you the essential symbols of Christian Constantinople: the Church of 'One Day' with the 'keys of happiness' and the Monastery of the Pantocrator, which used to house a psychiatric clinic. Additionally, you will ascend to a terrace with a magnificent view of the city, explore the ancient Valens Aqueduct, and visit the 'Women's Market.'
Balat: Colorful Houses and Cozy Cafes
In the vibrant Balat, we will enjoy delicious coffee with desserts and take many atmospheric photos against the backdrop of colorful houses. We will discover the building of the Patriarchate of Constantinople and see the favorite spots of Istanbul's creative youth. Throughout the walk, you will be enchanted by charming views of local courtyards, the Golden Horn, and the Bosphorus.
